Felts for the Construction Industry

Technical felts for the construction industry are widely used as sound-dampening, anti-condensation, protective and cushioning materials. They are suitable for both residential and industrial construction, helping to improve acoustic comfort and protect structural components from wear and damage.

At PROFILC, we offer a range of construction felts that can be selected to meet specific applications and technical requirements.

Applications of Felt in Construction

  • Sound-dampening and vibration-reducing felts – used to reduce the transmission of vibrations and noise between structural components, including floors, walls, and timber or metal structures.

  • Anti-condensation felts – designed to help manage condensation on the underside of metal roofing sheets. Their specially engineered structure temporarily absorbs moisture and allows it to evaporate gradually when adequate ventilation conditions are present.

  • Felt strips for floor joists – used as a separating layer between floor joists and the supporting surface. They help reduce vibration transmission, squeaking and noise generated during the use of timber floors.

  • Protective and cushioning felts – used as protective separators and pads to prevent direct contact between structural components and protect surfaces from mechanical damage.

Custom-Cut Felts for Construction Applications

We offer felts in various thicknesses, densities and technical specifications, tailored to individual customer requirements.

We supply felt in rolls, sheets, and as custom-cut strips and components. With our in-house production facilities, we can manufacture felt components according to customer drawings, technical documentation and specific dimensional requirements.

Selected felt materials can also be supplied with single-sided self-adhesive backing, allowing easier and more convenient installation.
